Treatments to enhance your health and wellbeing…

Reflexology for Menopause treatments may help if you’re navigating the menopausal transition. My own menopause challenges inspired me to carry out additional reflexology training, so I love being able to help clients throughout this time.

Maternity Reflexology may help to address many common pregnancy issues including Morning Sickness, Insomnia and Anxiety. Treatments will relax your mind and body and help you to prepare for labour. Postnatal sessions may help to restore natural balance.

Reflexology for Fertility treatments may help if you're planning to start a family or are struggling to conceive. Perhaps you’ve been diagnosed with unexplained infertility or have Endometriosis or PCOS? Reflexology will help you to prepare for assisted conception and can provide valuable IVF support.

Facial Reflexology is a deeply soothing treatment, that has all the wonderful benefits of foot reflexology. It can be especially helpful if you find it difficult to relax and switch off a very busy brain!

Zone Face Lift is a nurturing natural facial treatment, that uses massage and the use of specialist tools to 'lift' and sculpt the face. This may result in a more toned and youthful appearance.

Both facial treatments boost blood circulation and lymphatic drainage - helping to bring a natural radiant glow to the complexion. They’re a lovely way to restore confidence and can be especially beneficial during the menopausal years.

"I had a really wonderful first time reflexology appointment with Clare. She spent plenty of time asking about my health first and then gave lots of useful advice. The treatment room is lovely, peaceful and comfortable and I very much enjoyed the reflexology. I felt so relaxed afterwards and felt some improvement in my back pain. I’ve already booked my next appointment!"

  • Taking care of yourself shouldn't be seen as an indulgence...

It’s thought that complete wellness occurs when physical, emotional and spiritual needs are balanced.

When you are in good health, you’ll be able to take care of the important people in your life.

If mind and body are in harmony…

  • You will sleep well and should feel rested upon waking

  • Your digestive system will work efficiently and you shouldn’t suffer with constipation, diarrhoea or bloating

  • You will feel emotionally resilient (most of the time)!

  • So how are YOU feeling?

    Balancing Hormones

As women, we’re governed by hormones, that fluctuate wildly throughout our lives!

The action of hormones causes powerful physiological changes within the body.

Endometriosis and PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) are conditions caused by hormone imbalance, which may mean that conception is more difficult to achieve.

If you’re affected by these conditions, you can find out more here.

    Reflexology treatments may help to:

  • Encourage deep relaxation
  • Lift low mood
  • Ease muscular tension and help reduce pain
  • Calm cortisol production and naturally balance hormones

  • Feedback from clients attending for hormone imbalance has shown:

  • A reduction in pre-menstrual pain
  • Regulation of the menstrual cycle
  • A more condensed flow
  • Reduced bloating
  • Improved mood

    Perimenopause and Menopause

Struggling with anxiety, hot flushes or night sweats?

Menopause can be a time of great emotional upheaval, but it can be physically challenging too…

It’s difficult to survive on just a few hours sleep, when you’re trying to juggle work and family responsibilities.

You may be experiencing lots of menopausal symptoms, or just a few, including:

    • Irregular or missed periods
    • Scant or heavy flow
    • Hot flushes
    • Night sweats
    • Insomnia
    • Bloating
    • Loss of libido
    • Brain fog

    • Strange body odour
    • Vaginal dryness
    • Dry eyes/mouth/skin
    • Hair thinning and loss
    • Stress incontinence
    • Anxiety
    • Low mood
    • Lack of confidence

If you’re over the age of 40, declining hormone levels are usually to blame and symptoms are seen as a natural part of the ageing process.

But this doesn’t make it any easier and if your quality of life is seriously being affected, please seek help, as this is more widely available now.

Some calming reflexology may help to relieve any anxiety and help you cope better with this stage of life.

Simple lifestyle changes can also make a big difference to the way that you’re feeling and we’ll explore this during a pre-treatment consultation.

If your symptoms are particularly debilitating, I’d encourage you to visit your GP to discuss other treatment options that are available to you.

Reflexology works well alongside Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and can provide additional calming support.

    * Research has shown that reflexology can reduce vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes/night sweats) and improve the quality of life for menopausal women

    * (E. Gozuyesil, M. Baser, Complement Ther Clin Pract. 2016 Aug;24:78-85. doi: 10.1016/j.ctcp.2016.05.011. Epub 2016 May)

Reflexology treatments during menopause may help to:

  • Promote restful sleep
  • Encourage deep relaxation
  • Relieve anxiety
  • Reduce hot flushes and night sweats
  • Lift low mood
  • Enhance a feeling of wellbeing

    Reflexology for Fertility

    Struggling to conceive?

It can take a healthy couple up to twelve months for conception to occur naturally.

Infertility may be due to a health condition such as Endometriosis or PCOS or there may be no known reason, usually referred to as ‘unexplained infertility’?

If you’re feeling anxious because things haven’t happened for you just yet, perhaps reflexology could help.

Stress can unfortunately have a negative impact upon the entire reproductive process, so it’s helpful to address it. And as reflexology encourages deep relaxation, it’s a totally natural way to relieve stress and ease tension.

Reflexology can be especially beneficial if you’re undergoing assisted conception and will gently support you through each stage of your cycle.

I’ve been working with clients experiencing fertility issues for over fifteen years and I’m delighted to have seen so many wonderful outcomes!

    Reflexology may help to:

  • Relieve feelings of anxiety
  • Reduce stress hormones
  • Promote better sleep
  • Lift low mood
  • Support you through each stage of assisted conception (IVF, ICSI, FET)

    Maternity Reflexology

Can reflexology result in an easier labour?

I’ve been a Maternity Reflexologist for over 20 years and feel privileged to have supported hundreds of expectant mums throughout their pregnancies!

Pregnancy reflexology sessions are a nurturing experience for any mum-to-be and can be a wonderful way to relax and connect with your little one.

    * Research has shown that regular reflexology treatments in the later stage of pregnancy may lead to women requiring less pain relief and having faster birthing times

    * G. Motha and J. McGrath - 1992 "The effects of reflexology on labour outcome".

So reflexology may help you to have an easier labour!

Treatments earlier in pregnancy may help to ease many common discomforts, including Nausea/Morning Sickness, Constipation, Heartburn/Acid Reflex and Pelvic Girdle Pain.

Reflexology during pregnancy may help to:

  • Promote better sleep
  • Ease many common discomforts
  • Prepare you physically and emotionally for labour
  • Relieve muscular tension (post-term this may encourage the natural onset of labour)
