I have been a professional Women's Health Reflexologist for over 21 years and I'm passionate about helping you to
improve your health and wellbeing - whatever stage of life you’re at.
Reflexology is a gentle holistic therapy that may be helpful for a wide range of health conditions including Anxiety, Insomnia, Digestive Issues (IBS), Hormone Imbalance and Perimenopause symptoms (including Hot Flushes and Night Sweats).
As reflexology encourages deep relaxation, it’s a wonderful way to relieve the pressures of modern life…
Each nurturing treatment session will take you away from your everyday cares and help you to unwind and 'switch off' completely.
Specialised treatments and wellbeing support are available for Pregnancy, Fertility and Menopause.

Reflexology may help to:
Research has shown that reflexology during Pregnancy may help to reduce the length of labour and may significantly reduce birthing pain.
Other research has shown that reflexology may help to relieve Hot Flushes and can help improve the quality of life for Menopausal Women.

Clare Minter Therapies is situated in a convenient semi-rural location between Saffron Walden and Thaxted, in north-west Essex.
The peaceful treatment room can be easily reached from Stansted, Bishops Stortford, Haverhill, Great Dunmow and surrounding villages.
Free off-road parking is available right outside.
Taking care of yourself shouldn't be seen as an indulgence...
If you make time to look after your own physical and emotional needs, you'll be able to carry on caring for the special people in your life.
Reflexology is an holistic therapy (meaning ‘whole’) and to be completely well, equal focus needs to be given to your physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
These aspects will be explored during your initial consultation and you’ll discover how some small lifestyle changes could help improve your overall wellbeing.
The reflexology treatments themselves should help you to feel less stressed and more relaxed (or sometimes more energised).

Balancing Hormones
The action of hormones causes powerful physiological changes within a woman’s body.
Extreme hormone imbalance may cause the complex health conditions Endometriosis and PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).
Unfortunately these conditions may make conception more difficult, so you can find out more about Reflexology for Fertility here
Bloating, Breast Tenderness and Irritability are common before a menstrual bleed, but if symptoms persist for a large part of your menstrual cycle, this could be a sign of PMS (Pre Menstrual Syndrome).

Perimenopause and Menopause
Menopause can be a time of emotional upheaval, but it may be physically challenging too…
It's hard to exist on just a few hours sleep, when you’re trying to cope with work and family responsibilities.
You may be affected by just a few, or many of the numerous symptoms of perimenopause that include:
- Irregular or Missed Periods
- Scant or Heavy Menstrual Flow
- Hot Flushes
- Night Sweats
- Insomnia
- Bloating
- Loss of Libido
- Brain Fog
- Body Odour
- Vaginal Dryness
- Dry Eyes/Mouth/Skin
- Hair Loss
- Bladder Problems
- Anxiety
- Low Mood
- Reduced Confidence
If you’re over the age of 40, declining hormone levels are usually to blame and symptoms are seen as a natural part of the ageing process.
But this doesn’t make it any easier and if you feel your quality of life is being affected, seek help as this is now more widely available.
If you’re keen to try an holistic approach, some calming reflexology can be an effective way to relieve the anxiety you may be feeling.
During an initial Reflexology for Menopause session, we’ll explore how simple lifestyle changes can reinforce the effectiveness of the treatment and help you cope better with this stage of life.
You may also wish to visit your GP to discuss other options…
Reflexology works well alongside Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and provides additional calming support.
