Reflexology for Fertility
Struggling to conceive?
It can take a healthy couple up to twelve months to conceive…
So if you’re feeling anxious because things haven’t happened for you just yet, why not see if reflexology could help?
Treatments may help to relieve stress, which is known to be detrimental to the reproductive process.
Over the past fifteen years I’ve been delighted to have seen many wonderful outcomes - both natural and assisted conception.

Maternity Reflexology
Can having reflexology result in an easier labour?
I’ve been a Maternity Reflexologist for over twenty years and feel very privileged to have supported hundreds of expectant mums through their pregnancies.
Pregnancy reflexology sessions are a nurturing experience for any mum-to-be and can be a wonderful way to connect with your little one.

So having some regular reflexology treatments towards the end of your pregnancy, may result in you having an easier labour!
But there’s no need to wait, as treatments may help ease many common pregnancy discomforts, including Nausea/Morning Sickness, Constipation, Heartburn/Acid Reflex and Pelvic Girdle Pain.

Balancing Hormones
As women, we’re governed by hormones, that fluctuate widely throughout our lives!
The action of hormones causes powerful physiological changes within the body.
Extreme hormone imbalance may cause a more complex health condition, such as Endometriosis or PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).
Unfortunately this may make conception more difficult - you can find out more about Reflexology for Fertility here
Bloating, Breast Tenderness and Irritability may occur before a menstrual bleed, but if symptoms persist for a large part of your cycle, this could be a sign of PMS (Pre Menstrual Syndrome).

Perimenopause and Menopause
Menopause can be a time of emotional upheaval, but it may be physically challenging too…
It's hard to exist on just a few hours sleep, when you’re trying to cope with work and family responsibilities.
You may be affected by just a few, or many of the numerous symptoms of perimenopause that include:
- Irregular or Missed Periods
- Scant or Heavy Menstrual Flow
- Hot Flushes
- Night Sweats
- Insomnia
- Bloating
- Loss of Libido
- Brain Fog
- Body Odour
- Vaginal Dryness
- Dry Eyes/Mouth/Skin
- Hair Loss
- Bladder Problems
- Anxiety
- Low Mood
- Reduced Confidence
If you’re over the age of 40, declining hormone levels are usually to blame and symptoms are seen as a natural part of the ageing process.
But this doesn’t make it any easier and if you feel your quality of life is being affected, seek help as this is now more widely available.
If you’re keen to try an holistic approach, some calming reflexology can be an effective way to relieve the anxiety you may be feeling.
During an initial Reflexology for Menopause session, we’ll explore how simple lifestyle changes can reinforce the effectiveness of the treatment and help you cope better with this stage of life.
You may also wish to visit your GP to discuss other options…
Reflexology works well alongside Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and provides additional calming support.
